A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
BOYi\lTON BEACH,FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE <;ITY MANAGER TO
EXECUTE AN ADDENDUM TO THE APPOINTMENT CONTRACT
BETWEEN-rHE CITY OF BOYf\JTON BEACH AND ALBERT E. (WALLY)
MAJORS; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Manpger has recommended that the City enter into an Addendum to the
Appoih1:li1ent Contract fbrAlbert. E. (Wally) Majors, Director of Recreation, pursuant to the terms and
conditions set forth in the Addendurn pttached heretbas Exhibit "A".
NOW, THEREFORE, .BEIT RJ;SOLVED BY THE.CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
BOYNTONJ3EACH, FLOIUDA,.THAT:
section 1.
The City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida authorizes the City
Manager to enter into an addendum to the appointment contract with Albert E. (Wally) Majors, for
the position of Director of Recreation.
Section 3.
This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon passage.

EXHIBIT "A"
FIRST ADDENDUM TO APPOINTMENT CONTRACT
This Addendum dated the _ day of Febmary, 2002, amends the original Appointment
Contract between the City of Boynton Beach and Wally Majors, Recreation Director. Unless
elCpressly modified by this Aq.dendum, the original terms of the Appointment Contract shall
remain in full force. This Contract Appointment is amended as follows:
BASE SALARY. The City shall pay to Wally Majors an annual salary of Fifty-Seven
Thousand Two Hundred Dollars ($57,200.00), which computes to a 4% annual salary
adjustment, retroactive to employment contract date of November 13, 2001, and payable in equal
installments atthe same intervals as the City's management personnel are paid.c
INCENTIVE PACKAGE. Wally Majors shall receive the Management Incentive
Package, which consists of eI)hanced life insurance and compensatory leave, which became
effective in 2001 for Supervisory Management Employees.
APPLICATION OF PPM, 17.1 Exceptas listed below, in those instances when both
the Appointment Contract and this Addendum are silent, regarding a employment term or
condition which is applicable to general City employees as set forth in the City of Boynton
Beach Personnel Policy Manual (pPMP), as amended from time to time, then in that
circumstance the term or condition provided to general City employees in the PPM shall apply to
Wally Majors. The following Chapters of the PPM have no application and any term or
condition set forth therein are not incorporated as a term or condition of employment for Wally
Majors: Chapters 5, 6, 9,10, 11, 12, 13, 19,20,24,25,26,27,30.
In the event of a conflict between the Appointment Contract and this Addendum, the
Addendum shall control.
The foregoing provisions represent the agreement ofthe parties and become effective
upon rati cation by the City Commission.
