A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA,
ESTABLISHING A TASK FORCE TO ADDRESS THE
HISTORIC BOYNTON SCHOOLS;
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
W~EREA$, the City of Boynton
desire to acquire and preserve
Elementary and the first Boynton High
AND PROVIDING
Beach, Florida has a
the Historic Boynton
School; and
W~ER~AS, the City and Palm Beach County School Board
have been working together to achieve that goal; and
W~EHEA$, the City of Boynton Beach has applied for and
received a planning grant, thereby taking the first step to
develop a long-range plan for the use of those buildings for
all the community; and
W~EREAS, to assist in setting forth a long-range plan
appoint a Task
and coordinate
for the site, the City Commission wishes to

City staff in
the selection oX design professionals in accordance with the
grant and to serve as a focus group to assist staff in fully
implementing all of the grant requirements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:
Section 1. The foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are
hereby ratified and confirmed as being true and correct and
are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution.
Section 2. That a task force is hereby established
for a period of one year, and shall consist of members to be
appointed by the City Commission.
Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon passage.
