A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA,
REQUESTING THE GOVERNOR AND LEGISLATORS
TO GIVE PRIORITY TO FUND EDUCATIONAL
NEEDS FOR THE FUTURE OF ALL OUR
CHILDREN; PROVIDING FOR REPEAL OF ALL
RESOLUTIONS OR PARTS OF RESOLUTIONS IN
CONFLICT HEREWITH; PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach,
orlda, desires the best educational opportunities for the
~hlldren of our city, our county and our state; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach,
Florida recognizes the financial problems all levels of
overnment are experiencing; and
WHEREAS~ the City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach,
Florida is strongly committed to the education and the future of
the children of our city, our state and our nation; and
WHEREAS, the children of our city, our county and our state
~re the future of our nation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
ZITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The City Commission of the City of Boynton
~each, Flor.ida, requests our Governor, our Legislators, and all,
to give priority to fund the State of Florida's educational needs
for the future of all our children.
Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Boynton
Beach, Florida suggests to our Governor, our Legislators and all,
that the education of our children is paramount to the success
~nd fulfillment of the future of our state.
Section 3._ The City Clerk is hereby directed to send
~opies of this Resolution to the Governor, the President of the
?lorida Senate, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, all
Palm Beach County State Legislators, all Palm Beach County
Commissioners and Mayors.
Section 4. That this Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon passage.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this ~/ day of April, 1992.
