AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON
BEACH, FLORIDA, ESTABLISHING MUNICIPAL PERSONNEL
AND EQUIP1VIENT TABLE OF ORGANIZATION; PROVIDING
FURTI-IER FOR A SAVINGS CLAUSE, REPEALING PROVISIONS,
AUTHORITY TO CODIFY, AN EFFECTIVE DATE, AND FOR
OTHER PURPOSES.
PREAMBLE
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida,
deems i-t essential and in keeping with basic management principles that
a professional organizational chart providing for the highest degree of
efficiency with regard to utilization o]~ municipal personnel and equipment,
providing for delegation of authority, span of control, homogeneous
assignmenT, lateral coordination and the grouping of related functions
be established and adopted for the efficient accomplishment of all
municipal functions; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager has heretofore prepared and
furnished to the City Council an appropriate Table of Organization which
meets the above criteria; and
WHEREAS, the early adoption of subject organizational chart is
deemed essential in order to immediately provide fo~ the efficient daily
operation of the municipal government;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1 - That pursuant to the Charter and the Ordinances of
the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, in such cases made and provided, the
organizational chart al~ached hereto and made a part hereof is hereby-
established and adopted as the personnel and equipment organizational
chart for the Cily of B~oynton Beach, Florida. Further, that the salaries
for the indicated positions as now established in the current municipal
budget for the year 1971-1972 are hereby re-established as the salaries
for said positions set forth in said organizational chart, and the salaries for
any newly created offices provided for therein, which have not yet been
shall be as hereinafter established ~by Resolution of

Section 2 -
Aulhori~y to Codify: Specific authority is hereby
granted lo codify and incorporate this Ordinance in lhe City's existing Code.
Section 3 - Separability: Each of the provisions of this Ordinance
are separable, including word, clause, phrase, or sentence, and if any
portions thereof shall be declared invalid, the remaining portions shall not
be affected, but shall remain in full [orce and effect.
Section 4 - Repealing Provisions: All ordinances or paris of
ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 5 - Effective Date: This Ordinance shall become effective
immediately as provided in the Charter of the City of Boymon Beach,
Florida.
