Agenda I tems 11/12/2020 CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH AGENDA ITEM REQUEST FORM REQUESTED ACTION BY COMMISSION: Discuss and provide policy direction concerning the attainable housing regulations and incentive programs to promote affordable and workforce housing options for the residents of Boynton Beach. EXPLANATION OF REQUEST: Staff will provide a presentation which includes a discussion of various attainable housing demographics, status of the current regulations pertaining to increasing attainable housing stock and proposed revisions to the current land development regulations. HOW WILL THIS AFFECT CITY PROGRAMS OR SERVICES? Increased attainable housing inventory promotes the City's Building Wealth program by providing quality housing options to residents in the low and moderate income brackets. FISCAL IMPACT: Non-budgeted There is no fiscal impact at this time. ALTERNATIVES: Maintain current regulations STRATEGIC PLAN: Great Neighborhoods: Safe, Affordable and Livable STRATEGIC PLAN APPLICATION: Available quality housing for all citizens promotes great neighborhoods.
