R21-015 1 RESOLUTION NO. R21-015 2 3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, 4 FLORIDA, ADOPTING THE 2020 UPDATE 5 DOCUMENT TO THE PROGRAM FOR PUBLIC 6 INFORMATION (PPI) WHICH WILL ALLOW THE 7 CITY RESIDENTS AND BUSINESSES TO CONTINUE 8 TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR A DISCOUNT ON FLOOD 9 INSURANCE PREMIUMS; AND PROVIDING AN 10 EFFECTIVE DATE. 11 12 13 WHEREAS, In 2015, the City of Boynton Beach created a PPI committee 14 composed of representatives from applicable City departments and community 15 stakeholders who represent a cross-section of the City's citizens and businesses; and 16 WHEREAS, The PPI Committee developed the City's PPI and has met twice in 17 2020 to review the various components of the 2015 PPI, including; the update process, 18 flood insurance data, current audiences, messages,and outreach projects; and 19 WHEREAS, The City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach finds it is in 20 the best interest of the residents and citizens of the City of Boynton Beach to adopt the 21 2020 update document to the Program for Public Information (PPI), which will allow 22 the City residents and businesses to continue to be eligible for a discount on flood 23 insurance premiums. 24 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION 25 OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH,FLORIDA,THAT: 26 Section 1. The City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach hereby adopts 31 the 2020 update document to the Program for Public Information (PPI), which will 32 allow the City residents and businesses to continue to be eligible for a discount on 33 flood insurance premiums. 34 Section 3.
