AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA,
AMENDING PROVISIONS OF SECTION 26-5 OF THE CODIFIED
ORDINANCES OF SAID CITY, PROi/IDING E~EMPTION
FROM PAYMENT OF MUNICIPAL UTILITY EXCISE TAXES
BY ESTABLISHED CHURCHES WITHIN SAID CITY;
PROVIDING FURTHER FOR SAVINGS CLA~2SE, AUTHORITY
TO CODIFY, REPEALING PROVISIONS, AN EFFECTIVE
DATE AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
]BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON
BEACH, FLORIDA:
1. Thai the provisions of Section 26-5 of the Codified Ordinances
of the City of Bo~aton Beach, Florida, shall be ame~ided by adding the
following sentence:
"Established churches located within the municipal limits of
the City of Boymon Beach, Florida, are hereby specifically
exempt from imposition and payrnenz of the taxes hereinabove
established."
Section 2: Authority to Codif. y: Specific authority is hereby
granted to codify and incorporate this Ordinance in the City's existing Code.
Se ction 3: Separability: Each of the provisions of this Ordinance
are separate, including word, clause, phrase or sentence, and if any portion
thereof shall be declared invalid, the remaining portion shall not be affected,
but shall remain in full force and effect.
Section 4: Repealing Provisions: All ordinances or parts of
ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 5: Effective Date: This Ordinance shall become effective
in the manner and at the time provided in the charter and Ordinances of the
City of Boymon Beach, Florida.
