A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA,
AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE FINANCE
DEPARTMENT TO WRITE OFF ACCOUNTS
RECEIVABLE IN THE AMOUNT OF $65,86!.00,
AND DIRECTING THE UNCOLLECTIBLE BALANCES
BE TURNED OVER TO A COLLECTION AGENCY;
AND PROVIDINGAN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission has been advised by staff
~hat there' are currentl[ $65,861.00 in uncollected balances
for water, sewer and refuse accounts for the year ending
9/30/90; and
WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of staff that these
balances be written off and turned over to a collection
agency; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission deems it to be in the best
interest of the citizens and residents of the City of
Boynton Beach, Florida to follow the recommendation of the
City Staff.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA THAT:
Section 1. The City Commission of the City of
Boynton Beach, Florida hereby directs the Finance Department
to write off the uncollectible balances in the amount of
$65,861.00 and forward the accounts to a collection agency.
Section 2. This Resolution shall take effect immediately
upon passage.
