A RESOLUTION ENDORSING THE CANDIDACY OF
THE HONORABLE CLARENCE E. ANTHONY, MAYOR
OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BAY, FLORIDA FOR
THE OFFICE OF SECOND VICE-PRESIDENT OF
THE FLORIDA LEAGUE OF CITIES.
WHEREAS, Clarence E. Anthony has served as Mayor for
:he City of South Bay for the past seven years, and
WHEREAS, Mayor Anthony has long been involved in
~umerous leadership positions in the Palm Beach County
Municipal League, National League of Cities, and the Florida
t~eague of Cities, and
I~- WHEREAS, Mayor Anthony is currently serving on the
l~oard of Directors and Executive Committee for the Florida
i~eague of Cities and has served more than three years, and
WHEREAS, Mayor Anthony is a candidate for the office of
~econd Vice-President for the Florida League of Cities.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
)F THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:
Section 1. Mayor Clarence E. Anthony's candidacy
!or the office of Second Vice-President of the Florida
~eague of Cities (FLC) is hereby strongly supported. Mayor
~nthony's positive dynamic leadership abilities would be a
:redit to the State of Florida, South Florida, Palm Beach
~ounty and our City.
Section 2. The City's Official Florida League of
lities voting delegate to the annual conference is hereby
|irected to vote for Mayor Clarence E. Anthony.
Section 3. The City Clerk is hereby directed to
~orward a copy of this Resolution upon passage to the Palm
~each County Board of Commissioners and the Palm Beach
~ounty Municipal League.
