A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF /
THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, /
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO/
ESTABLISH A NORTH BOYNTON BEACH TAS~
FORCE TO GATHER INFORMATION CONCERNING
BEAUTIFICATION, HOUSING, LIGHTING, C~DE
ENFORCEMENT AND INFRA-STRUCTURE PROBLEMS
AND DEFICIENCIES; AND cRIME IN/THE
NORTHEAST QUADRANT OF THE CITY/ AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. /
WHEREAS, the City Commission of t~ City of Boynton
Beach, Florida believes it is in the~est interest of the
residents of the city to establish ~ task force to gather
/
information on beautification, yousing, lighting, code
enforcement mnd infra-structure /roblems and deficiencies,
and crime in the northeast qua~ant of the city, namely the
area of Boynton Beach Blvd. ~ Hypoluxo Road and 1-95 east
to the Intracoastal; and /
WHEREAS, the City C~ission of the City of Boynton
Beach, recognizes that ~ere is a need to open the lines of
communication between/the City mnd the residents of the
northeast quadrant o~the City.
NOW, THEREFOr, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF BOSTON BEACH, FLORIDA, ~MAT:
Section 1./ The foregoing "WHEREAS" clauses are
hereby ratifi~ and confirmed as being true and correct and
are hereby ~de a specific part of this Resolution.
Sect~n 2. The City Manager is hereby directed to
reach ouy into the community to obtain volunteers for the
formatJ of a Task Force to gather information concerning
, housing, lighting, code enforcement and
problems and deficiencies, and crime in the
quadrant of the City, and make recommendations for
~uture Commission policies. The City Commission is also
encouraged to provide names to the City Manager of those
citizens of Boynton Beach who are interested in
)articipation in said task force.
Section 3.
immediately upon passage.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this
