R91-054RESOLUTION R91-~ A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, IN SUPPORT OF THE THIRTEEN APPLICATIONS WHICH PALM BEACH COUNTY HAS PENDING BEFORE THE STATE CONSERVATION AND RECREATIONAL LANDS (CARL) PROGRAM; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. W~EREA$, on March 12, 1991, Palm Beach County residents voted overwhelmingly to approve a $100 million bond referendum for the purchase of environmentally sensitive lands~ and W~EREAS, these funds will be a key element in obtaining matching state funds to purchase the highest-quality natural areas remaining in Palm Beach County. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT: Section 1. The City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida supports the thirteen (13) applications which Palm Beach County has pending before the State Conservation and Recreational Lands (CARL) Program, as follows: A. Section 2. forward a certified COMMISSION Knob Hill Scrub - 9910131-50-1; Juno Hills - ~9101311-50-2; Royal Palm Beach Pines - 9910131-50-3; Frenchman's Forest - 9910131-50-4; Seacrest Scrub - 9910131-50-5; Delray Oaks 9910131-50-6 Loxahatchee Reserve - 9910131-50-7; Rosemary Scrub - 9910131-50-8; Pope John Paul Scrub - ~910131-50-9; Loxahatchee Slough - 9910131-50-10; Water Catchment Buffer - 9910131-50-11; Prosperity Oaks 9910131-50-12; Jupiter Ridge Site - 9890131-50-1. The City Clerk is hereby directed to copy of this Resolution to Palm Beach 'County Department of Environmental Resources Management; to IDr. O. Greg Breck, Environmental Administration, Land Use iPlanning, 3900 Commonwealth Boulevard, DNR Mail Station 45, Tallahassee, Florida 32399-3000; and to the Board of Commissioners, Palm Beach County, Florida. Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon passage.
