A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA,
AUTHORIZING THE CITY TO ACCEPT A
PROPOSAL BY GEE AND JENSEN, DATED
FEBRUARY i1, 199], REGARDING
IMPROVEMENTS TO NAVIGATION CHANNEL AT
BOAT CLUB PARK AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR
AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE AN AMENDMENT
TO THE GEE AND JENSEN CONTRACT; A COP~Y
OF SAID PROPOSAL ATTACHED HERETO AS
EXHIBIT "A"; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, Boat Club Park is the City's only saltwater
boat ramp facility and is utilized to capacity on peak
boater days; and
WHEREAS, over the years the channel, which runs from
the ramp areas to the intracoastal channel has filled with
sand; and at low tide some vessels cannot navigate to and
from the ramp area due to low water conditions; and
WHEREAS, due to the popularity and use of this
facility, it is important that we take corrective action
now;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY CON~IISSION
OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA THAT:
Section 1. The City of Boynton Beach hereby accepts
s proposal by Gee and Jensen, dated February 11, 1991, s copy of
said proposal attached hereto as Exhibit "A", regarding
improvements to Navigation Channel at Boat Club Park and
authorizes the Mayor and City Clerk to execute an amendment
to the contra~t with Gee and Jensen.
Section 2. This Resolution shall take effect
immediately upon passage.
