3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA,
4 APPROVE AN INCREASE TO THE ANNUAL EXPENDITURE FOR
5 ADDITIONAL SERVICES ASSOCIATED WITH THE LANDSCAPE
6 MAINTENANCE SERVICES CONTRACT FOR PARK SITES BID
7 NO.:031-2730-20/RW PERFORMED BY BLUE MARLIN INVESTMENTS,
8 INC. DBA CAYCO LANDSCAPING IN THE AMOUNT OF $25,000.00
9 ANNUALLY FOR THE DURATION OF THE CONTRACT; AND
10 PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

12 WHEREAS, on December 15, 2020, the City Commission approved Resolution
13 R20-143 awarding the contract for Landscape Maintenance Services for Park Sites to Blue
14 Marlin Investments,Inc.dba Cayco Landscaping in the amount of$127,661 annually;and
15 WHEREAS, the annual expenditure as awarded includes a $5,000 allowance for
16 additional services on an as needed basis which is not sufficient to cover the projected
17 additional services typically warranted as part of the contract;and
18 WHEREAS, staff is requesting to increase the annual expenditure for additional
19 services from $5,000 to $25,000 annually which will allow for the proper accounting and
20 expenditure of funds for additional services on an as needed basis; and
21 WHEREAS,the City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach upon recommendation
22 of staff, deems it to be in the best interest of the citizens and residents to approve an increase to
23 the annual expenditure for additional services associated with the Landscape Maintenance
24 Services contract for Park Sites, Bid No.:031-2730-20/RW performed by Blue Marlin
25 Investments, Inc. dba Cayco Landscaping in the amount of $25,000 annually for the
26 duration of the contract.
27 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
28 CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH,FLORIDA,THAT:
29 Section 1. The foregoing "Whereas" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed as
30 being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution upon adoption.

1 Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, hereby
2 approves the increase to the annual expenditure for additional services associated with the
3 Landscape Maintenance Services contract for Park Sites, Bid No.:031-2730-20/RW
4 performed by Blue Marlin Investments, Inc. dba Cayco Landscaping in the amount of
5 $25,000 annually for the duration of the contract.
6 Section 3. That this Resolution shall become effective immediately.
