A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA,
REQUESTING THAT PALM BEACH COUNTY AMEND
THE PAL~ BEACH COUNTY NOISE ORDINANCE
AND TO TAKE AGGRESSIVE ENFORCEMENT ACTION
TO RESTRAIN THE ACTIVITY OF JET SKIS IN
THE INTRACOASTAL WATERWAY THAT OPERATE
IN A MANNER WHICH RESULTS IN THE
CREATION OF NOISE POLLUTION.
WHEREVer, Florida Statute 327.60 prohibits

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
WHEREAS, the Palm Beach County Noise Control Ordinance
OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, THAT:
Section i. That the City of Boynton Beach requests
that the Palm Beach County Commission adopt an amendment to
the Palm Beach County Noise Ordinance regulating and
restricting the source and occurrence of noise and
disturbances associated with the operation of jet skis in
the Intracoastal Waterway and that following the adoption of
such amendment that the County take aggressive and forceful
action with respect to the operation of jet skis that
operate in violation of the Palm Beach County Noise
Ordinance.
Section 2. That the City Clerk is hereby directed
to forward a copy of this Resolution, upon passage, to the
Palm Beach County Commissioners.
Florida Intracoastal Waterway; and
residents of the City of Boynton Beach who
live adjacent to the Intracoastal Waterway are plagued by
noise pollution created by the operation of jet ski vessels
in the Intracoastat Waterway; and
