R90-168RESOLUTION~90-/~8 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, ACCEPTING THE PROPOSAL OF GEE & JENSON, DATED OCTOBER 30, 1990, FOR DESIGN SERVICES FOR CONSTRUCTION OF A RECREATION BUILDING; AND FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City Commission requested the firm of Gee Jenson to submit a proposal for design services for :onstruction of a recreation building; and WHEREAS, it is deemed to be in the best interests of c~tizens and residents of the City of Boynton Beach to ~ccept said proposal, dated October 30, 1990, and attached lereto as Exhibit "A". NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY CO~flSSION OF THE CITY OF BOYN~ON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT: Section 1. Designate in writing, a person to act as the Owner's represen- tative with respect to the services to be performed under Agreement. Such person shall have complete authority to transmit instructions, receive information, interpret and.define the Owner's policies and decisions with respect to materials, equipment, elements an~ systems pertinent to the Architect's se£vices. GEE & JENSON City of Boynton Beach Recreation Buildin9 Page 3 Items ti thru 13 of the scope of Services will be cospleted within One Hundred (100) calendar days after Receipt of Notice to Proceed except for delays beyond the control of the Consultant. Items %4 to be performed commensurate with construction schedule and progress. (Fees based on total construction time of 24 weeks - see attached breakdown). For items I1 thru ~3 of the Scope of Services the Architect shall be paid a lump sum fee of Thirty Thousmnd Dotlars ($30,000.00). For item %4 the Architect shall be paid a lump sum fee of Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00). (See attached breakdown of Construction Administration services and fees). In addition to the fees specified above, the Architect shall be reimbursed for direct nonsalary expenses, including, but not limited to data processing, automo~ile tra¥~l, long d/stance telephone, subsistence, printtn~ and reproductzon, 1us F ~ales taxes, if applicable.
