AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH,
FLORIDA, AMENDING PROVISIONS OF ORDINANCE
68-23 OF SAID CITY, CONSTITUTING THE MASTER
ELECTRICAL CODE, PROVIDING FURTHER FOR
AUTHORITY TO CODIFY, SAVINGS PROVISIONS,
REPEALING PROVISIONS, PEI~ALTY PROVISIONS,
AN EFFECTIVE DATE AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON
BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1: Thai the provisions of sub-paragraph (p) of Section 25
of Ordinance 68-23 of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, be, and the same
are hereby amended by adding the following:
(4) Residences shall have a fused disconnect switch as stated
above and all other buildings shall have a disconnect within
three (3) feet of the meter. Such discormect shall be fused
and sized in accordance with the service.
Section 2: Authority to Codify,: Specific authority is hereby granted
to codify and incorporate this Ordinance in the City's existing Code.
Section 3: Separability: Each of the provisions of this Ordinance
are separable, including word, clause, phrase or sentence, and if any portion
hereof shall be declared invalid, the remaining portion shall not be affected
but shall remain in full force and effect.
Section 4: Repealing provisions: All ordinances or paris of
Ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 5: Penalty Provisions: Any person, firm or corporation
convicted of violating the provisions of this Ordinance shall, upon conviction
thereof, be penalized by fine not exceeding $500.00 and costs of prosecution,
or imprisonment not exceeding ninety days, or by both such fine and imprison-
ment.
Section 6: Effective Date: This Ordinance shall become effective in
the manner and at the time provided in the charter and Ordinances of the City
of Boynton Beach, Florida.
