O70-24 ORDINANCE NO. 70 - 24
AN APPROPRIATIONS ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF
BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, ADOPTING A BUDGET
FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER 1, 1970,
AND ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 1971.
WHEREAS, the CITY CHARTER of the CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH,
requires an appropriations Ordinance be passed by the City Council of said
municipality each year, adopting a budget showing revenue of the City from
all sources and the estimated expenditures to the various purposes for the
ensuing fiscal year;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, as follows:
Section ~: That the proposed budget for the ensuing fiscal year,
prepared by the City Manager of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, be, and
the same is, hereby adopted for the fiscal year of said municipality,
beginning October 1, 1970, and ending September 30, 1971, pursuant to and
in compliance with the provisions of Section 28 and Section 84 of the City
Charter of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, said budget being made a
part hereof by reference.
Section 2: That there is hereby appropriated the sum of $1,800, 887 00
to the General Fund for the payment of operating expenses and necessary
capital outlay for the city governmenT, purs~iant to the terms of the above
budget.
Section 3: Thai there is hereby appropriated the sum of $10, 000.0¢
to the Inlerest and Sinking Fund for general debt service for the purpose of
paying the interest due on the general obligation bonds of the City not subject
to statutory exemptions and for redeeming such bonds as they mature.
Section 4: That there is hereby appropriated the sum of $19, 000.0(
to the Interest and Sinking Fund for general debt service for the purpose of
paying the interest due on the general obligation bonds of the City subject to
statutory exemptions and for redeeming such bonds as they mature.
Section 5: Thai there is hereby appropriated the sum of
$549,924.00 to lhe waler Utility Fund and Sewer Utility Fund for operaling
expenses and necessary capilal outlay for the municipal waler and sewer
departments.
Seclion 6: Thai there is hereby approprialed the sum of
$448, 576.00 to the Interest and Sinking Fund of the combined municipal waler
and sewer deparlments for the general debl service for lhe purpose of paying
interest due on the bonds of said departments and for redeeming such bonds
as they malure, and for payment of oulstanding developer's refunding agree-
menls.
Seclion 7: Thai lhere is hereby appropriated lhe sum of
$16,150.00 to the Community Promotion Fund for the paymenl of operating
expense pursuanl to the terms of the above budgel.
Section 8: Thai lhis Ordinance shall become effective from and
after its passage in accordance wilh the Charter of the City of t~oynton Beach,
Florida, in such case made and provided.
