AN ORDINANCE Q~THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH,
FLORIDA, AMENDING SECTION 4-23 OF THE CODIFIED
ORDINANCES OF THE SAID CITY, ESTABLISHING
IMPOUNDING FEES FOR DOGS PLACED IN CITY POUND;
PROVIDING FOR REPEALING AND SAVINGS CLAUSE,
AN EFFECTIVE DATE AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON
BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1: That the first sentence of the second paragraph of
Section 4-2~ of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Boynton Beach, be,
and the same is, hereby amended to read as follows:
'~The owner of any dog impounded may redeem the same for
a period of three (3) days after notice of impounding, which
may be by one publication at the City Hall, upon the payment
of an impounding fee of Two ($2.00) Dollars, and in addition
thereto, Two ($2.00) Dollars for keep of the dog for each day
impounded; provided that the dog shall be vaccinated, tagged
and registered as herein provided. '~
Section 2: Repealing Provisions: All ordinances or parts of
ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 3: Separability: Should any section or provision of this
ordinance, or any portion hereof, be declared by a court of competent
jurisdiction to be invalid, such decision shall not affect the validity of the
remainder hereof as a whole or any part hereof, other than the part declared
to be invalid.
Section 4: Effective Date: This ordinance shall become effective in
the manner and at the time provided by the charter and ordinances of the City
.of Boynton Beach, Florida.
Section 5! Authority is,granted to codify this Ordinance in City's exit
