AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH,
FLORIDA, AMENDING CHAPTER 25-A OF THE CODIFIED
ORDINANCES OF SAID CITY, PERTAINING TO TRAFFIC
CONTROL FOR PROPOSED DEVELOPMENTS WITHIN SAID
CITY; PROVIDING FURTHER FOR AUTHORITY TO CODIFY,
REPEALING PROVISIONS, SAVINGS CLAUSE, AN-~i~
EFFECTIVE DATE AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON
BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1: That Chapter 25 A of the codified ordinances of the
city of Boynton Beach, Florida, be and the same is hereby amended by
adding thereto an additional section to be designated as Section 25 A-15,
which shall read:
"Section 25 A-15: Prior to final approval by the City Council of
any proposed development plans for subdivisions or other projects
involving condorninittms, cooperatives or other large areas of
concentrated inhabitation, subject proposed plan shall be reviewed
by the City Traffic Engineer for the purpose of determining the
anticipated influx of vehicular traffic resulting from such
proposed develppment, either within said development or
emanating therefrom onto established State, County or
Municipal roadways within the City. In the event the report
of the Traffic Engineer indicates that such traffic influx will
be of sufficient density to require electr:onicor other type of
mechanical traffic control, the City Council may require the
developer of such proposed development to provide for. payment
of cost of such signalization in addition to other financial require~
ments provided for otherwise herein."
Section 2: Authority to Codify:. Specific authority is hereby granted
to codify and incorporate this Ordinance in the City's existing Code.
Section 3: Se.p. arability: Each of the provisions of this Ordinance
are separable, including word, clause, phrase or sentence, and if any portio~
hereof shall be declared invalid, the remaining portion shall not be affected
but shall remain in full force and effect.
Section 4: Repealing Provisions: All ordinances or parts of
ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 5: Effective Date: This Ordinance shall become effective
in the manner and at the time provided in the charter and Ordinances of the
City of Boynton Beach, Florida.
