R22-002Z 1 RESOLUTION NO. R21- 002 2 3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, 4 APPROVING REVISIONS, DELETIONS AND ADDITIONS TO 5 THE PLANNING & ZONING DMSION FEE SCHEDULE TO 6 REFLECT CURRENT SERVICES AND UPDATED COSTS, AND 7 TO CORRECT GENERAL DEFICIENCIES; AND PROVIDING AN 8 EFFECTIVE DATE. 9 10 11 WHEREAS, since the Planning & Zoning Division's last fee update in 2013, the City's 12 Land Development Regulations have been updated implementing new or modifying existing 13 processes; State Statutes have been revised affecting the process by which the Comprehensive 14 Plan and Future Land Use Map are amended; and several other procedural changes have been 15 made that are not currently reflected in the Planning & Zoning Division Fee Schedule; and 16 WHEREAS, currently, the City of Boynton Beach generally has significantly lower fees 17 than other municipalities within the county, including those directly to the north and south of 18 the City limits; and 19 WHEREAS, while the proposed revisions generally represent an increase in fees, the 20 resulting amounts are comparable and remain competitive with neighboring municipalities. 21 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF 22 BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT: 23 Section 1. The foregoing "Whereas" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed as 24 being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution upon adoption 25 hereof. 26 Section 2.
