90-RRESOLUTION NO. 90-7~
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA,
ADOPTING A "THEME" FOR THE CITY;
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE; AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, more than three-fourths of the eastern
boundary of the City of Boynton Beach lies adjacent to the
intracoastai waterway'; and
WHEREAS, the intracoastal waterway is an important
phenomena in the life and growth of the City of Boynton
Beach; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Boynton
Beach has established the Boynton Beach Community
Redevelopment Agency Commercial, which contains the
Central Business District; and
WHEREAS, the Central Business District (significant to
the entire development of the City) has as one of its
priorities the development of the coastal area with water
related and/or oriented activities and the Central Business
District has as its entire eastern boundary the intracoastal
waterway;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City of Boynton Beach hereby
establishes as its theme, "BOYNTON BEACH, AMERICA'S GATEWAY
TOT HE GULFSTREAM".
Section 2. This resolution shall become effective
immediately upon passage.
