RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, RECOGNIZING THE
MANY CONTRIBUTIONS THAT ALLAN H. NYQUIST MADE
TO THIS COMMUNITY.
WHEREAS, Allan H. Nyquist faithfully served the City of
Boynton Beach Fire Department for 25 years; and
WHEREAS, Allan H. Nyquist unselfishly volunteered his time
and talents to the city's Codes Enforcement Board, Planning and Zoning
Board and Electrical Plumbing Board; and
WHEREAS, Allan H. Nyquist dedicated himself to the service of
this community through such organizations as the Boynton Beach Rotary
Club, Sunrise Rotary Club, Salvation Army, American Legion and Masons;
and
WHEREAS, Allan H. Nyquist helped to charter the Boynton Beach
Civitan Club and was a volunteer at Bethesda Memorial Hospital.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:
Section 1. The City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach
formally extends its sincere appreciation to the late Allan H. Nyquist
and his family for the many invaluable contributions that he made to
this city and to this community as a whole.
Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach
hereby encourages all-citizens to follow the examples of community
service, dedication and concern for fellow man set by Allan H. Nyquist
during his life in Boynton Beach.
PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 5th DAY OF DECEMBER, 1989.
