Present: Mayor Ty Penserga James Stables, Interim City Manager Vice Mayor Angela Cruz Michael Cirullo, Deputy City Attorney Commissioner Woodrow L. Hay Tammy Stanzione, Deputy City Clerk Commissioner Thomas Turkin (telephonically) Commissioner Aimee Kelley 1. Agenda Items A. Call to Order - Mayor Ty Penserga Mayor Penserga called the meeting to order at 4:36 p.m. Roll Call Deputy City Clerk Stanzione called the roll. A quorum was present. Invocation Invocation was given by Commissioner Hay. Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag led by Mayor Ty Penserga. Mayor Penserga led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. B. Closed Door Session Closed-door session on Friday, May 20, 2022, beginning at 4:30 p.m., fora private attorney-client session to discuss pending litigation case of: Pursuant to Section 286.01 1 (8), Florida Statutes, the City Attorney requested a private attorney- client session of the City Commission to discuss the following case: CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, a Florida municipal corporation, Plaintiff, vs. JKM BTS CAPITAL, LLC, Defendant - Palm Beach County Circuit Court Case Number: 50-2020CA012780-XXXX-MB Deputy City Attorney Mike Cirullo, announced those attending the closed-door session including himself, will be City Attorney James Cherof, Special Litigation Counsel Thomas Baird and Joanne O'Connor, Interim City Manager Jim Stables, a Court Reporter, the Mayor and City Commission. Commissioner Turkin attending Meeting Minutes City Commission Boynton Beach, FL May 20, 2022 telephonically. Approximately two hours will be needed. The meeting recessed the at 4:37 pm. Mayor Penserga reconvened the meeting at 6:08 p.m. C. Resume the Special Meeting 2. Adjournment Motion Vice Mayor Cruz moved to adjourn the meeting. Commissioner Hay seconded the motion.
