A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLOR/DA, AMENDING
THE STATE HOUSING INITIATIVES PARTNERSHIP
(SHIP) PROGRAM LOCAL HOUSING ASSISTANCE
PLAN, BY INCREASING THE LOCAL PURCHASE
PRICE LIMITS AND ADOPTING THE STATISTICAL
DATA PROVIDED BY THE FLORIDA HOUSING
FINANCE CORPORATION; PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City has received notice from the Florida Housing Finance
Corporation (FHFC) that local governments receiving State Housing Initiatives
Partnership Program (SHIP) funds have been granted the opportunity to increase their
local purchase price limits; and
WHEREAS, staff was given the option of conducting an independent twelve
month study of purchase prices within their own geographic area, or to adopt the fmdings
of the most recent study conducted by the FHFC;
WHEREAS, upon the recommendation of staff, the City Commission deems it to
be in the best interests of the citizens and residents of the City of Boynton Beach to adopt
the findings of the most recent study conducted by the FHFC;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:
Section 1. The foregoing "Whereas" clauses are tree and correct and are
hereby ratified and confirmed by the City Commission.
Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida,
hereby does adopt the findings of the most recent study conducted by the FHFC, in
determining a reasonable local purchase price increase for the City of Boynton Beach;
Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon passage.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this Iq day of March, 2002.
