3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA,AMENDING
4 THE FY 2022-23 BUDGET, WHICH WILL ADJUST BUDGETED
5 APPROPRIATIONS AND REVENUE SOURCES AND PROVIDE SPENDING
6 AUTHORITY AND TO APPROVE THE PURCHASE OF E-Z-GO-PACE SHIELD
7 TECHNOLOGY FOR THE GOLF CART FLEET, IN THE AMOUNT OF
8 $78,750.00 FOR THE LINKS GOLF COURSE AS A SINGLE SOURCE
9 PROVIDER WHICH MEETS THE CITY'S REQUIREMENTS;AND PROVIDING
10 FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

12 WHEREAS,the Links Golf Course is seeking approval to purchase E-Z-GO- Pace Shield
13 Technology units to be installed on the new E-Z-GO Golf Car fleet which will enable golf
14 course operators to manage their fleets and operations in real-time, using tools such as geo-
15 fencing, speed enforcement, and the ability to monitor vehicles' locations remotely; and
16 WHEREAS, course operators can also optimize their staff's efficiency and productivity
17 of their equipment by using activity zones to manage day-to-day workloads, travel time
18 throughout the facility, and monitoring vehicle maintenance needs with remote diagnostics;
19 and
20 WHEREAS, a budget amendment is required in order to complete this; and
21 WHEREAS, staff is recommending a budget amendment appropriating fund balance
22 of $57,750.00 to increase the Computer Software line item expenditure.
23 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
24 BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA:
25 Section 1. The foregoing "Whereas" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed as
26 being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution upon adoption
27 hereof.
28 Section 2. The City Commission hereby approves amending the FY 2022-23 budget
29 appropriating fund balance of $57,750.00 to increase the Computer Software line item
30 expenditure as referenced in the attached Exhibit "A".
31 Section 3. The City Commission hereby authorizes spending authority and to
32 approve the purchase of E-Z-GO - Pace Shield Technology for the golf cart fleet, in the
33 amount of$78,750.00 for The Links Golf Course as a single source provider which meets the

34 City's requirements.
35 Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon passage.
