A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA,
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AN
AMENDMENT TERMINATING THE INTERLOCAL
AGREEMENT, DATED MARCH 10, 1977, WHICH
ESTABLISHED THE COOPERATIVE DISPATCH
CENTER OF SOUTH PALM BEACH COUNTY.
WHEREAS, the City of Boynton Beach has found it
desirable to execute an amendment terminating the Interlocal
Agreement, dated March 10, 1977, which established the
Cooperative Dispatch Center of South Palm Beach County; and
WHEREAS, such Interlocal Agreement provides for
termination by amendment; and
WHEREAS, such an amendment has been prepared and is
attached hereto; now therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA:
That the Mayor be authorized to execute the amendment
terminating the Interlocal Agreement which established the
Cooperative Dispatch Center of South Palm Beach County, a
copy of which is attached hereto.

AN AMENDMENT TO THE INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT,
DATED MARCH 10, 1977, WHICH ESTABLISHED THE
COOPERATIVE DISPATCH CENTER OF SOUTH PALM BEACH COUNTY
THIS AGRR~W~NT entered into this ~ day of _~~,
1987, by and among the CITY OF BOCA RATON, CITY OF
-DELRAY BEACH and the CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, all Florida
municipal corporations located in Palm Beach County,
hereinafter referred to as the "Cities".
W I T N E S S E T H:
W~R.~, the Cities did enter into an Agreement on
March 10, 1977 to provide for the establishment and
operation of cooperative police radio communication center
for their mutual advantage and thereby ' created an
administrative agency entitled the Cooperative Dispatch
Center of South Palm Beach County; and
W~RREAS, the Cities no longer wish to participate in a
cooperative police radio communication center; and
WHEREAS, the original Agreement provides for
---Termination of the Agreement upon adoption of an amendment
to that effect by all participating cities; and
W/4R. REAS, the Cities desire to so amend the Agreement;
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual promises
and benefits hereinafter set forth, the receipt of which is
hereby acknowledged, the Cities do hereby agree-as follows:
1. The Cooperative DisPatch Center of South Palm
Beach County established by Agreement dated March 10, 1977
is terminated effective September' 30

2. The functions of the Cooperative Dispatch Center
of Palm Beach County are hereby dissolved as to the
participation of the Cities of BOCA RATON and DELRAY BEACH.
As to the CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, the functions of- the
Cooperative Dispatch Center of South Palm Beach County are
hereby transferred. Such transfer of functions shall be in
proportion to those provided by the Cooperative Dispatch

Center of South Palm Beach County for the CITY OF BOYNTON
BEACH, prior to the date of this Amendment.
The assets and liabilities of the Cooperative
Dispatch Center of South Palm Beach County shall devolve
equally upon all of the Cities. Any improvements, fixtures
or moveable property purchased by Cooperative Dispatch
Center of South Palm Beach County shall be divided equally
among-the Cities o~ shall be sold and the proceeds divided
equally. Liability of the individual Cities shall be
governed by the terms of the original Agreement.
