AN APPROPRIATIONS ORDINANCE OF THE CITY
OF BOYNTON BEACH~ FLORIDA~ ADOPTING A
BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING
NOVEHBER !~ 1968 AND ENDING OCTOBER
1969.
WHEREAS~ the CITY CHARTER of the CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH~ requires
an appropriations ordinance be passed by the City Council of said muni-
cipality each year~ adopting a budget showing revenue of the city from
all sources and the estimated expenditures to the various purposes for
the ensuing fiscal year:
NOW~ THEREFORE7 be it ordained by the City Council of the CITY OF
BOYNTON BEACH7 FLORIDA7 as follows:
SECTION 1: That the proposed budget for the ensuing fiscal year pre-
viously prepared by the City Manager now on file in the City Hall of the
City of Boynton Beach~ Florida ~ be and the same is hereby adopted for
the fiscal year of said municipality beginning November 1~ 1968 and
ending October 3!~ 19697 pursuant to and in compliance with the pre-
visions of Section 28 and Section 84 of the City Charter of the City of
Boynton Beach~ Florida7 said budget being made a part hereof by refer-
ence:
SECTION 2: That there is hereby appropriated the sum of $!7280~607.00
to the General Fund for the payment of operating expenses and necessary
capital outlay for the city government pursuant to the terms of the
above budget.
SECTION 3: That there is hereby appropriated the sum of $29~260.00 to
the Interest and Sinking Fund for general debt service for the purpose
of paying the interest due on the general obligation bonds of the city
nov subject to statutory exemptions and for redeeming such bonds as
they mature.
SECTION 4: That there is hereby appropriated the sum of $207188.00 To
the Interest and Sinking Fund for general debt service for the purpose
of paying the interest due on the general obligation bonds of the city
subject to statutory exemptions and for redeeming such bonds as they
mature.
SECTION 5: That there is hereby appropriated the sum of $367~633.00 to
the Water Utility Fund and Sewer U.titity Fund for operating expenses
and necessary capital outlay for the municipal water and sewer depart-
men~s ·
SECTION 6[: 'That there is hereby appropriated the sum of $382~767.00 to
the Interest and Sinking Fund of the combined municipal water and sewer
departments for the general debt service for the pBrpose of paying
interest due on the bonds of said departments and for redeeming such
bonds as they mature~ and for payment of outstanding developer's refund-
ing agreements.
SECTION 7: That there is hereby appropriated the sum of S22~815.00 to
the Community Promotion Fund for the payment of operating expense pur-
suant to the terms of the above budget.
SECTION 8: That there is hereby appropriated the sum of $35~000.00 for
the purpose of paying the interest and amortization on a pledge of
Cigarette Tax revenues for the purposes of new drainage construction
pursuant to the terms of the above budget.
SECTION 9: That this ordinance shall become effective from and after
its passage in accordance with the Charter of the City of Boynton Beach~
Florida~ in such case made and provided.
