AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH,
FLORIDA, AMENDING SE'CTION 31-12 (c) (5) OF
THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF BOYNTON
BEACH, FLORIDA, PROHIBITING BARBED WIRE
FENCES IN RESIDENTIAL DISTRICTS:AND PRO-
VIDING HEIGHT LIMITATIONS OF FENCES AND
HEDGES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH
FLORIDA: ,
SECTION 1: Section 31-12 (c) (5) is hereby amended
to read as follows:
(5) In any residential district no barbed wire fence shall
be erected or maintained nor shall any fence or structure, nor any
hedge over three (3) feet high be erected or maintained within
said district within twenty-five (25) feet of any corner street
intersection nor beyond the street building set back line. No
fence will be permitted more than six (6) feet high and no hedge
will be permitted more than seven (7) feet high along side and rear
property lines on inside lots in residential districts. Nothing
herein shall be construed to prohibit barbed wire around the top
of chain link fences in industrial areas.
SECTION 2: Separabilitv. Each of the provisions of
this ordinance are separable, including word, clause, phrase or
sentence, and if any portion hereof shall be declared invalid, the
remaining portion shall not be affected, but shall remain in full
force and effect.
SECTION 3: Repealinq Provisions. Ail ordinances or
parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4: Effective Data. This ordinance shall be-
come effective in the manner and at the time provided by the
Charter and ordinances of the CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA.
