AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH,
FLORIDA, AMENDING SECTION 23AZ3~OF CHAPTER
23-A OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF SAID CITY;
ESTABLISHING RATES, FEES AND OTHEK~,..C~HARGES
FOR THE USE OF THE SERVICES AND FA~%LiTIES
OF THE MUNICIPAL SEWAGE DISPOSAL SYSTEM.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH,
FLORIDA, THAT SECTION 23A-3 OF CHAPTER 23-A OF THE CODIFIED
ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, IS HEREBY
AMENDED TO READ:
Section 23A-3. Service charges prescribed.
The rates, fees and charges (herein sometimes called the
"sewer service charge") for the use of, and for the services and
facilities furnished or to be furnished by, the sewage disposal
system, to be paid by the owner, tenant, or occupant of each.tot or
parcel of land, or of any unit, apartment, or any other type of
imorovement located thereon, which may be connected with or may use
the sewage disposal system by or through any part of the sewer
system of the city, shall be based or computed upon the number and
kind of plumbing fixtures connection with the sewer system or upon
the quantity of the water supplied therein, as indicated in the
following rate schedule:
(a) SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL CUSTOMERS(INCLUDING DUPLEXE
WHICH SHALL BE BILLED AS INDIVIDUAL UNITS).
5 fixtures or less g4.00 oer month minimum
Next 7 fixtures 0.35 ~ach per month
Over 12 fixtures 0.20 each per month
(b) COMMERCIAL CUSTOMERS (EXCLUDING RESTAURANTS, LAUNDRIE
HOSPITALS, NURSING HOMES AND INSTITUTIONAL TYPE
BUILDING):
2 fixtures or less $4.00 per month minimum
Over 2 fixtures 0.50 each per month
(c) TRAILER PARK CUSTOMERS:
Per available trailer space-S2.00 oer month
All other facilities utilizing the city sewage
system located within any trailer oark shall be
billed on the basis of a commercia% customer rate as
set forth hereinabove.
(d) INDUSTRIAL AND MANUFACTURING CUSTOMERS, (INCLUDING
RESTAURANTS, LAUNDRIES, HOSPITALS, NURSING HOMES
AND INSTITUTIONAL TYPE BUILDINGS):

In addition to the rates set forth hereinabove, there is
hereby established a sewer connection charge which shall be levied
against all connections made to the system later than six (6) month
after municipal sanitary sewer service becomes available to indivi-
dual properties in any given area of the city as follows:

Tenth year gnd thereafter 2.80
Such connection charge shall be paid to the building department of
the city in connection with and ~rior to the issuance of any build-
ing permit for property affected by this charge as set forth here-
inabove. This charge shall apply to both newly constructed and
existing buildings.
In addition to the rates set forth herein, the city
council reserves the right to require pre-treatment, special rates
or other measures necessary to cope with and ~rotect the city again
the introduction of unusual types of waste in the city sewer system
All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict here-
with be and the same are hereby repealed.
The repeal of ordinances or parts of ordinances effectuate
by the enactment of this ordinances shall not be construed as
abating any action now pending under or by virtue of such ordinance
or as discontinuance, abating, modifying or altering any penalty
accruing or to accrue or as affecting the liability of any ~erson,
firm or corporation or as waiving any right of the municipality
under any section or provision existing at the time of the passage
of this ordinance.
