AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF
BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, REPEALING A
PORTION OF SUBPARAGRAPH (c) OF SECTION
23 A-7 OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF THE
CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, PERTAINING TO
DISCOUNT FOR EARLY PAYMENT OF SEWER
CHARGES; FURTHER PROVIDING FOR A
SAVINGS CLAUSE, REPEALING PROVISIONS,
AUTHORITY TO CODIFY, AN EFFECTIVE DATE,
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
PREAMBLE
This Ordinance is deemed to be an emergency measure
enacted for the immediate preservation of the public health, safety,
and welfare of the inhabitants of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, and
for the efficient daily operation of the Municipal Sanitary Sewage Depart-
ment and Municipal Finance Department~
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA:
SECTION l:That portion of subparagraph (c) of Section 23 A-7
of the codified ordinances of the City of Boynton Beach, which reads as
follows: "If any monthly bill for sewer service charges shall be paid to
the City within ten (10) calendar days from the date of issuance of said
bill, the paying customer shall be entitled to a discount thereon in the
amount of ten percent (10%) of the total amount of said sewer service
charge"~ is hereby repealed, nullified and rescinded.
SECTION 2: Separability. Each of the provisions of this
ordinance are separable, including word, clause, phrase, or sentence,
and if any provision hereof shall be declared invalid, the remaining portion
shall not be affected but shall remain in full force and ef£eCto
SECTION 3: Repealing Provisions: All ordinances or parts
of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4: Authority of Codify° Authority is hereby granted
to codify and incorporate this ordinance in the City's existing code.

SECTION 5~: Effective Date. This ordinance is deemed to be
an emergency measure and shall take effect immediately upon passage.
