AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORDA AMENDING THE
LAND DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS, CHAPTER 2.,
SECTION 3. REGULATIONS AND MAP., SUBSECTION A.
OFFICIAL ZONING MAP; PROVDING FOR CONFLICTS,
SEVERABILITY, CODIFICATION AND AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, staff has developed a GIS system that is being implemented within the
City, which conversion will, in part, facilitate the availability of accurate zoning information
to all departments with GIS access; and
WHEREAS, staff recommends adoption of this Ordinance to approve the
conversion of the Official Zoning Map to a Geographic Information System (GIS) format;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:
Section 1. The foregoing whereas clauses are true and correct and are now ratified
and confirmed by the City Commission.
Section 2. That Chapter 2 - Zoning. Section 3.A. is hereby amended by adding
language in underlined type, and by deleting the words and figures in struck-through type, as
follows:
A. OFFICIAL ZONING MAP.
1. Adoption. The district boundaries hereinafter set forth and delineated
on the official zoning map, including all explanatory matter thereon, is hereby

zoning map shall be kept on file, in printed form, in the office of the City
Clerk.~

revision dates.
Section 3. Each and every other provision of the Land Development Regulations
not herein specifically amended, shall remain in full force and effect as originally adopted.
Section 4. All laws and ordinances applying to the City of Boynton Beach in
conflict with any provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Section 5. Should any section or provision of this Ordinance or any portion
thereof be declared by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, such decision shall not
affect the remainder of this Ordinance.
